2020: Knockhundred are in hibernation
the Covid pandemic has meant that although we practiced during autumn 2019 and started the year with plans for the summer of 2020 everything has gone on hold until the end of the pandemic. We meet by Zoom to socialise but cannot practice or dance out at the moment. ..Send us an email [email protected] or via the contact form; ..Get in contact on Facebook or Instagram @knockhundredshuttles 2019: Knockhundred are recruiting! We're taking a break this season - but hopefully not for long! Sadly a few of our dancers have moved away; and along with a few injuries we decided to have a year out to rest and recuperate. But we don't intend to stay that way - we hope to RELAUNCH with fresh blood in September! If you're interested in dancing, playing, meeting new friends and going to festivals, weekends away and days out, you're more than welcome to join us in our new start! All ages from 14-104 welcome, as long as at least one of your knees work.. We were founded, and practice around Midhurst, but intend to move to Chichester in the autumn, so we should be easy to find! No experience needed; just a sense of rhythm and enthusiasm for music, bells and spending time near pubs.. If you're keen: ..Come along and have a go at our taster evening in August [22nd in Midhurst, see below]; ..Send us an email [email protected] or via the contact form; ..Get in contact on Facebook or Instagram @knockhundredshuttles ..Grab any of us if you see us out and about in our jumpers We look forward to jingling our bells and drinking beer with you! News:2020 after practicing during the autumn 2019 the plans made for the summer 2020 were put on hold because of the Covid pandemic.
Thursday 22nd August 2019 – 8pm We're having a taster evening in Midhurst as part of MADhurst Festival! Come along and see what clog morris is all about, have a go, and a bit of cake! Keep an eye on Facebook for details soon.. Knockhundred Shuttles – 35th Birthday Ale
In June this year we were very happy to invite some friends to help us celebrate our 35th birthday! Coton Morris and Chinewrde Morris joined us for a weekend of camping, dancing and drinking in and around Midhurst & Chichester.
It was especially lovely to be able to host this weekend as our numbers had been declining and there was serious talk of having to disband our side! Happily, we were also celebrating our 7 new members, all of whom joined us in the last 2 years. I’m glad to say Knockhundred is back on its feet and very much looking forward to another 35 years! 1st January - To follow our lovely dance-out at The Unicorn on Boxing Day, we drank in the New Year at The Elsted Inn and initiated our newest recruits! Well done to Lauren, Sarah, Kate, Georgie, Ali & Rowan for their first dance-out! Here are some photos...
17th May – We just spent a lovely Saturday dancing at Brinsbury Show & Country Fayre! Below you can see a video one of the punters kindly loaded up to the YouTube. Rosie & Ami bought new hats... everyone else bought beer – it was a successful day in many respects!
